Saturday & Sunday - Beginning at 10:00 am - Hawk Mountain Sanctuary - spring schedule. Educators will present a series of programs held most Saturdays and Sundays through June. Most programs are free of charge and take place near the Visitor Center. Programs that take place at one of several scenic overlooks include a modest trail fee to enjoy the Sanctuary trails, scenic overlooks and protected lands, but are well worth the price to explore this environmental treasure. Hawk Mountain is the worlds first refuge for birds of prey, and over the past 74 years, has gained international acclaim as a center for conservation, education and research about birds of prey. Education programs focus on raptors (predatory birds such as hawks, eagles and falcons), birdwatching, or Hawk Mountain history. Visit website for details.
